13th June 2010 - Lantau Island - Big Buddha - Disneyland

Left the hotel at 9am for a cable car ride to the Big Buddha.

We head to the Disneyland station for MTR.

PhotobucketAt the cable car station, YY was attracted to the cable car behind. It was her first cable car ride.

Theme for the day - PINKY!

It was very very foggy that morning. And was so windy up on the mountain that caused our cabin swayed to and fro.

After alighting, we decided to take our lunch at a restaurant.PhotobucketPhotobucket

It was still foggy after our lunch. But visibility was much better. Felt like walking in 仙境。PhotobucketPhotobucket
We bought tickets to go up to see the big buddha.
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketIt was a long flight of stairs up. But YY was so happy playing! Poor papa had to bend down to hold her.
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketHalf way there.
PhotobucketMama took her turn.PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketReached the top. Big buddha was still shadowed by fog.PhotobucketPhotobucket
But suddenly, the fog was being blown away and we could see the big buddha very clearly.

PhotobucketAnd thereafter, YY was pestering us to go down. 'cos she wanted to play on the long stairs again. urgghhhh!!

As we hope to catch the remaining rides in Disneyland, we didn't have a chance to shop at Citygate (where all the budget outlets are located). We rushed back to Disneyland, and we were in time to catch the water parade again.
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
The umbrella was opened this time to keep ourselves dry from the water-splashing. YY was a totally different child once we've returned to Disneyland. Look at the dance-enthusiasm!

PhotobucketImmediately after the water parade ended, we walked to the Adventureland to take a boat ride.

We left Disneyland after the boat-ride to return to our hotel for a short rest. We've booked ourselves a table at the Enchanted Garden Resturant @ Disneyland Hotel to take a super expensive dinner that night. It was a long queue outside the restaurant even though bookings have been prior-made. The main motive of the dinner was the chance to meet the Disney characters and have close encounters with them. See who we've met:

YY got to know 2 handsome boys - 1 HK 1 Japanese. They were very engrossed in playing around while we ate our hearts out at the buffet. When piglet came to our table again, i've asked YY to hug piglet. But instead, she went to hug the HK boy! Arrghh! Where is your chastity?! ;p

Funny YY ran and squatted infront of a wall painted exactly like the garden in Disney cartoon. I think she was trying to pose for the camera.

See how YY carried the plastic bag! Just like an auntie! hehehe.... Elegance is the theme in Disneyland Hotel.
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Happened to see the fireworks again when we stepped out of the Disneyland Hotel.
PhotobucketPhotobucket
We met Donald Duck at the lift lobby in our hotel on the way back to our room.

YY was waving goodbye to Donald!
